Sharon and I started Designs by MoDa (Mother/Daughter) just a few short months before she passed from epilepsy in 2013. Sharon hoped to ease her financial burdens, as well as keep her creative mind active and engaged, by making and selling jewelry. She left me this gift (and many others) because I continued to make jewelry in her name. It allowed me to embrace my own creative energy and channel it in to doing good in her light.
Unique leather bracelets, necklaces, hand-stamped pieces, earrings and traditional pieces were created and sold with 100% of the proceeds donated to charities to honor my amazing daughter. I thank everyone who supported us along this path. We were able to raise over $200,000 that helped us create two fully endowed scholarships, a myriad of other charitable donations, along with many 'pay it forward' random acts of kindnesses in Sharon's name and memory.
