Sharon was my little cousin.  At Nana and Bumpa’s house the Gath cousins would play in the large downstairs bathroom with the toy cabinets filled with trinkets from Ann & Hope that was under Nana’s make up counter.  The toys weren’t spectacular it was all about imagination and fun and not making too much noise or the adults enjoying hors d’oeuvres in the living room would come in to check on us.  We also shared many birthday parties, play dates and swimming pool fun.  Gath family occasions and outings were always a fun time with Sharon and Michael.  Sharon was often a bit quiet and shy at first.  Even in silent moments those eyes saw and appreciated everything, you could see the wheels turning behind them.  However once she warmed up, got into the groove again, that smile and that laugh was contagious.  It was pure joy and glee.  Then someone would come and tell us to be quieter and we would giggle just a little more softly, at least for a little while.  We all miss that.
Much love,
Suzie
